Description – What's the position about?
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and supporting the technical aspects of attachments (such as buckets, quick couplers, thumbs, grapples, pallet forks, jibs, tilt rotators, and more) for our construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities
• Attachment Verification: Verify that all attachments fit and perform optimally on our machines through calculations, 3D modeling, and testing.
• Regulatory Compliance: Confirm that machines equipped with attachments meet all current regulations.
• Supplier Coordination: Provide suppliers with precise dimensional specifications to guarantee that our attachments fit and function correctly on the machines.
• Technical Communication: Share important technical information across departments to support the preparation of commercial and aftermarket documentation for product launches.
• Design Change Management: Carefully track design changes and communicate updates to relevant teams.
• Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers for Special Applications and Attachment Tools based on engineering knowledge and calculations.
What You'll Do
Design
• Create, modify, analyze, and maintain the engineering design of assigned product systems and components.
Innovation
• Develop knowledge of new techniques, materials, and procedures beneficial for product changes.
• Stay up-to-date on trends and developments in product design through vendor contacts, workshops, meetings, and industry connections.
Research
• Conduct feasibility studies for new products or changes as directed.
• Oversee and analyze testing results for prototype and production machines.
• Collaborate with related departments to complete assigned projects.
• Understand the mechanisms and systems of products/tools.
Verifying & validating
• Review and compare drawings of assigned product systems and components promptly, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Cross-check compatibility between the machine, attachment, and engineering requirements.
Operation & management
• Address inquiries, questions, complaints, and requests about attachments from customers, dealers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Manage the attachment product's kinematics and performance from an engineering perspective.
EHS
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the EHS management system.
• Attend mandatory medical inspections and participate in required training.
• Maintain cleanliness and order, and ensure proper waste sorting.
• Follow pollution prevention rules and respect the Alcohol and Drugs policy.
• Abide by road traffic regulations and actively participate in Toolbox meetings.
• Adhere to work regulations and report any health, environment, or safety issues.
• Follow the responsibilities outlined in Article 6 of the Workers’ Well-Being Law (Law of 4/08/96).
Requirements or Qualifications
Education
• University graduate in engineering
Experience
• 2 to 5 years of experience in an industrial environment
Knowledge & Skills
• Knowledge of mechanics and/or hydraulics and/or electrical/electronics
• CAD skills to review and develop solutions based on situational needs
• Working knowledge of the manufacturing process
• Excellent IT skills (MS Office, etc.)
• Proficiency in English
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Prerequisite Training Courses
• PDM system training
• Product training for beginners (machines and attachments)
• 3D/2D software training
