Doosan Machines Are a Work of Art

Doosan is a proud partner in two open air festivals in Prague in the Czech Republic - the ‘Signal’ Light Festival and the ‘Praha září’ Festival. In its role as a producer of heavy construction machines, Doosan is part of a new art installation that highlights the importance of responsible behaviour by humans when dealing with our natural environment. Both open air festivals are expected to be visited by hundreds of thousands of visitors.

The centrepiece of the art installation is a 16 tonne Doosan wheeled excavator. The installation is the vision of Markéta Jáchimová, a young artist active in the Czech and Swiss artistic scenes, to create a very strong ecological message. She has turned the excavator into a piece of art to express her feelings towards the extensive use of nature by humans.

On Doosan being a proud partner of these traditional Czech festivals, Kevin Lynch, Marketing Communications Manager, Doosan Infracore Europe, commented:

“Doosan is one of the leading global producers of construction machines. We are proud to be able to cooperate with the Prague festivals and present our great machines in an unusual way. Sustainable development has always been an important topic for Doosan and we are pleased that our 16 tonne excavator is supporting this very important message.”

The art installation, called ‘The Machine’, is located at the entrance of the Industrial Palace of Výstaviště Praha, which is a venue for many business, industry and international trade fairs. Visitors can see the artwork until the end of the Signal Festival on 18th October 2020.
