Develon Heavy Machines Driving Estonia’s Oil Shale Mining

In the last week of November, we had the opportunity to visit a loyal customer of the Develon brand, Estonian KKT Oil OÜ, and its distributor, INTRAC Estonia, at an oil shale mine located in northeastern Estonia, approximately 100km from the Russian border. This mine is home to Develon's heaviest excavators, with two DX1000LC-7 and one DX800LC-7 working together on this site alongside their smaller 50 t sibling, the DX490LC-7.

On 19 and 20 September 2025, the Stuttgart branch of EBERLE HALD turned into a true hotspot for construction machinery enthusiasts: at the DEVELON POWER DAYS, everything revolved around innovation, power and hands-on experiences. Under the motto “Experience the most modern construction machines live!” visitors had the chance to see the latest technologies in action, test them out themselves, and witness the impressive performance of these machines.

E-Stop, A world first!

From 8 to 12 September, the “Canal Seine-Nord Europe” company, and Bouygues Travaux Publics France tested the new Develon DX230LC-9 excavator equipped with the E-Stop device, which stops the machine's movements when a pedestrian enters its work zone.
