We are looking for a proactive, positive, teamwork-oriented and responsible person with the ability to think globally for the role of Fair & Event/Merchandising Manager.

Description – What's the position about?

Support the successful execution of Develon fair & events by managing specific events from concept to completion. The role ensures seamless event logistics and strict adherence to defined budgets.

What You'll Do

Fairs & Events 

• Develop and manage event schedules, budget forecasts and cost control.
• Coordinate the tendering process for external suppliers and contractors.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and contractors with reference to marketing objectives, ensure contract approval & supplier registration.
• Collaborate with internal departments throughout all phases of event planning and delivery to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
• Prepare on-site documentation, including staff briefings, participants' list, and floor plans.
• Conduct site inspections and manage staff and suppliers during set up, the event itself and dismantling.
• Develop concepts for Fairs & Events aligned with brand strategy.
• Coordinate and communicate event promotions with all stakeholders.
• Compile post-event reports, including analysis and closure.

Merchandising

• Oversee the management and development of Develon-branded promotional merchandise to support the dealer network across Europe.
Collaborate with merchandise vendors to maintain and update the inventory of online stores, introduce new products, and manage special offers.
• Ensure all promotional and branded items comply with brand guidelines.
• Actively promote merchandise via relevant communication channels.
• Monitor shop performance statistics, work with suppliers, and apply improvement strategies. 

Requirements or Qualifications

Education/Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, Event Management, or Business Studies
• Minimum of 2-3 years in fair and/or event management, ideally within a similar organization
• Experience in marketing communication & project management
• Proficiency in English at a near-native level is required, additional language skills (preferably German or French) are advantageous but not essential

• Valid driver’s license (B)
• Proficiency in MS Office
