Ummenhofer Baumaschinen Gmbh Presents Itself As A Doosan Dealer At Company Open Days
This year's Open Days at Ummenhofer, which took place on 19 and 20 October, attracted very strong customer interest. Over the course of the two-day show, customers were mainly shown a wide range of DOOSAN construction equipment for operation under the most extreme conditions. It was not just a matter of demonstrating how these construction machines are operated, but also how the operator can control them in demanding situations.
A DOOSAN DX165W-5 equipped with a ROTOTILT OIL QUICK OQ 70/55, a gripper module and ICS control as well as Epiroc compactor extensions and BSG sorting grabs was used in the demo. The operator gave a live demonstration of what this machine is capable of, and was rewarded with loud applause from the visitors.
The DX165W-5's big brother, the DOOSAN DX170W-5, was also there to be admired by attendees.
One of the highlights was the introduction of the new DOOSAN DX350LC-7, which created great interest among customers. Special attention was placed on the Stage V compliant emission levels and the new operator’s panel in the cab, which displays all the application possibilities offered by the machine.
And, of course, no show like this would be complete without a DOOSAN DX255LC-5, which was fitted with the Trimble excavator control system and is a must-have rental for any construction site. It too generated widespread interest and has proved to be a great success.
Customers were also able to experience its little brother, the DOOSAN DX225LC-5, with a sorting grab.
Ummenhofer also presented a solution for use on confined space construction sites; with OQ 65-equipped DOOSAN DX140LCR-5 and OQ 70/55-equipped DOOSAN DX235LCR-5 excavators, showing customers two models that are used in confined spaces for excavation and demolition work. These two models are also available for renting from Ummenhofer RENTAL.
In addition, the rental fleet with the flagship DOOSAN DA30 and DA40 ADTs was also presented.
DOOSAN's compact machines should not, of course, be missing at any show of this kind and the line-up for customers included the DX10Z, DX19, DX63-3 and DX85-3 mini-excavators. Here again, a great deal of interest was shown by visitors, which even prompted some to order machines on the spot.
Anyone who wanted to see a wheel loader with a 4 m³ bucket capacity was not disappointed either. Ummenhofer presented the DOOSAN DL420CVT-5, which can also be hired for mining and general loading and unloading operations.
For Ummenhofer, the main focus is on service. Customers were therefore able to visit the workshop housing a 40-tonne car lift and assembly pit, as well as a 10-tonne indoor crane. They also had the opportunity to receive expert information from the Dealer’s staff on the wide range of repairs offered, whether for construction machinery or trucks.
After a leisurely tour of the premises, the day ended with a relaxing get-together. Enjoying good food and drinks, visitors were keen to have conversations with company personnel to discuss future business with Ummenhofer.
The children who visited (Ummenhofer’s future customers of course!) were also well catered for with a bouncy castle and all seemed to have a lot of fun.
