On Reunion Island, the dealer DMP shares its passion with Doosan
For the first time in 2020, the dealer DMP, leader in the construction and materials handling market on Reunion Island, brought together more than 100 customer and partner guests on 2nd and 3rd October for a fine demo event featuring Doosan.
Organised on 2 and 3 October 2020 at the Domaine des Palmiers site in the west of the island, the DMP dealer's Open Days were a great success. In strict compliance with safety regulations and health protocol, more than 100 customer and partner guests were happy to meet up and were able to discover Doosan machines undergoing intensive testing with Steel Wrist and MB Cruscher accessories. Pierre Lemerle, Sales Director Construction – Heavy at DMP explained : « With the bitter taste that leaves us 2020 where all events are cancelled, we are happy to have managed to organise this 2-day meeting and meet our clients and partners despite the complicated sanitary conditions. All the machines were in real demonstration.
Our after-sales service was also on site to show our know-how in terms of adjustments on the machines and accessories presented, such as the MB Cruscher bucket crushers adjusted according to the type of granulometry. We would like to thank our partners, in particular Jacques Painigra from Interinvest and Doosan for their support at our side. We answered many questions from the participants and hope to repeat this event in the coming months.
Steel Wrist attachments put to the test on several Doosan machines
A quick coupler and a Steel Wrist X18 tiltrotator were mounted on a Doosan DX165W-5 (16t) wheel excavator, to test a range of accessories such as buckets, vibratory plate, sweeper fork...
The DX165W-5 has an exclusive wheelbase of 2,800 mm and a short turning radius (1,850 mm). Its optimal centre of gravity and ideal weight distribution ensure excellent stability for maximum performance and lifting capacity.
The Doosan DX57W-5 (5t) wheeled excavator was equipped with a quick coupler and a Steel Wrist X06 tiltrotator for testing numerous attachments. It combines 360° orientation for increased visibility and optimal adaptation to working conditions with the hydraulic power and flow of a real tool carrier, boom offset for maximum efficiency in tight spaces and high travel speed (20 or 30 km/h depending on the regulations of the country of use). It also offers a reach of more than 6 metres and impressive lifting capacities thanks to the front axle oscillation lock and excellent weight distribution.
The Doosan DX235NLC-5 crawler excavator was tested with an SQ hitch and a hydraulic hammer with its SQ plate. The purpose of this demonstration was to show how to change attachments without leaving the cab.
And also MB Crusher accessories in action on Doosan machines
The crawler excavator DX530LC-5 (52t) was equipped with an MB Cruscher BFS120 crusher bucket. An S14 screening bucket was mounted on the Doosan DX180LC-5 crawler excavator. Note that 6 and 8 tonne Bobcat loaders were tested with MB Cruscher buckets L120, C50 or between an S10 screening bucket. As if to thumb its nose at the prevailing gloom, the DMP teams offered 2 full days of intensive tests and real demonstrations to guests who were happy to be present, in a friendly atmosphere. DMP's sales staff were even able to make a few sales on site, and answered requests for quotes on the equipment presented.
