DX250LCE-7

Electric Power for Demanding Jobs

The DX250LCE-7 is a 28-ton electric crawler excavator that delivers even more capacity and operating time — up to 12 hours — in the same rugged, tracked format. It offers powerful, precise performance and long runtimes for demanding medium-scale applications, while remaining quiet and emission-free at the point of use.

This electric crawler excavator is built for harsh environments and tough ground conditions, but it’s equally at home in urban areas and low-emission zones where traditional diesel machines are restricted. With its combination of high productivity, long runtime, and zero local emissions, the DX250LCE-7 becomes a key business enabler, allowing you to win and execute projects where electric capability is a must.

Electric Performance You Can Count On

The DX250LCE-7 shares the same 120 kW liquid-cooled permanent-magnet motor and LFP battery technology but delivers up to 12 hours of operating time for demanding jobs. This 28-ton electric crawler excavator matches the performance of its diesel counterpart while running far more quietly and with zero local emissions. With powerful hydraulics, fine swing, and the intelligent floating boom option, it combines high productivity with smooth, controlled movements. The result is a quiet, emission-free machine that keeps your jobsite efficient, your operators comfortable, and your operating costs predictable.

Tough Build. Smart Savings.

The DX230LCE-7 and DX250LCE-7 are built around durable structures and simplified electric drivetrains that keep your operating costs under control. Reinforced castings, forged steel pivot points, and a heavy-duty arm and boom are engineered to withstand tough applications. With fewer moving parts than a diesel machine, there is less to service. Daily maintenance becomes simpler: you no longer need to change engine oil or filters, check fuel filters or air pre-cleaners, or manage aftertreatment systems such as AdBlue® and diesel particulate filters. The LFP batteries and electric motors are almost maintenance-free, reducing service time, lowering costs, and easing the load on both your team and your budget.

Fast to Charge, Easy to Operate

The DX250LCE-7 offers the same convenient charging concept, scaled for its higher capacity. Charge via AC at 380 V with 63 A for around 9 hours or 32 A for about 18 hours, or choose DC fast charging in roughly 2.5 hours to maximize uptime. A state-of-the-art pressurized ROPS cab, premium seat, 360° AVM camera, and Develon Smart Touch display create outstanding working conditions. Operators benefit from excellent visibility, smart control, and a comfortable environment, while you benefit from safe, efficient operation and a machine that’s ready to work whenever you are.

Features

Safety

Our crawler excavators use LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery technology, known for its excellent chemical stability. This makes it one of the safest cell technologies available on the market. Operators and fleet managers gain confidence knowing the electric crawler excavators are powered by a battery system designed from the ground up with safety in mind.

LFP Battery: Safety Built into the Cells

Battery packs, acting as a counterweight, and a stable undercarriage give the DX230LCE-7 and DX250LCE-7 excellent balance when working with heavy attachments or on uneven terrain. Extremely robust, all-welded structures are designed to limit stress throughout the machine. The result is an electric crawler excavator that feels confident and predictable, helping operators work safely and efficiently in real-world conditions.

Stable, Robust, Ready for Any Ground

Standard rear and side cameras, large side mirrors, and powerful LED work lights provide a clear view of the surroundings in a wide range of conditions. For even greater awareness, an optional 360° AVM system with ultrasonic detection helps operators monitor obstacles and people around the machine. Better visibility means safer operation—especially in crowded or busy jobsites.

All-Around Visibility for Safer Sites

A sophisticated, pressurized ROPS cab is ISO-certified to help protect the operator in demanding conditions. Anti-slip steps and platforms, together with well-placed guard rails on the upper structure, make entering, exiting, and servicing the machine safer and more secure. From first step to full shift, the DX230LCE-7 and DX250LCE-7 are designed to keep you protected.

A 120 kW liquid-cooled permanent-magnet motor gives electric crawler excavators the same performance as their diesel counterparts. You get powerful, responsive operation for digging, lifting, and running attachments—paired with zero local emissions, no fuel bills, and significantly reduced noise levels. It’s a simple way to transform the way you work without sacrificing productivity.

Buckets of Quiet, Clean Power

The DX250LCE-7 is equipped with an LFP battery designed for long days on site, with up to 12 hours of operating time. Charge via AC 380 V at 63 A (around 9 hours) or 32 A (about 18 hours), or use DC fast charging to get back to work in approximately 2.5 hours. This combination of long runtime and quick charging keeps your electric crawler excavator productive all day.

Runs Longer, Charges Fast

Attachment mode with a priority valve on the attachment lines delivers higher working efficiency when moving the arm and operating the tool at the same time. A dedicated tiltrotator mode provides more precision and less back pressure when high flow is required. With the same attachment compatibility as equivalent diesel machines, electric crawler excavators give you the flexibility to tackle a wide variety of jobs with one platform.

Attachment Versatility, Electric Efficiency

The intelligent floating boom lets the boom move freely up or down, depending on the task. In hydraulic breaker mode, the boom lowers under its own weight, reducing shock and vibration and extending breaker life. In full float mode, the boom follows the ground while dragging the bucket. The fine swing function further reduces shaking of lifted objects when starting or stopping swing, improving safety for nearby workers and protecting the load.

With fewer moving parts than a traditional diesel excavator, daily maintenance is simpler and faster. There is no engine oil to change, no fuel or engine oil filters to replace, and no air pre-cleaners to manage. LFP batteries and electric motors are almost maintenance-free, and there is no aftertreatment system — no AdBlue®, no diesel particulate filter, and no associated servicing. All of this reduces downtime, lowers maintenance and servicing costs, and cuts stress for your team and your budget.

Easy on Your Maintenance Costs

Strengthened boom and arm structures are tested to offer optimal load distribution throughout the boom. Reinforced castings, forged steel pivot points, and a heavy-duty arm and boom are built to withstand tough applications. These robust components help reduce the risk of structural repairs and keep your electric crawler excavators earning for longer.

Reinforced Where It Matters Most

Large guard rails and spacious platforms give you easy access to the upper structure for inspections and service work. This practical design speeds up daily checks and scheduled maintenance, keeps the machines productive, and reduces the time and effort needed to keep your electric fleet in top condition.

Simple Access for Faster Service

The LFP battery packs are engineered for long service life, with a chemistry known for its stable performance over many charge cycles. Its robust design helps maintain capacity, supporting consistent runtime and dependable productivity throughout the life of these machines.
