New Powerful Develon Machines and Safety Solutions at Steinexpo
Develon continues to develop
construction machinery that achieves industry-leading performance in various
classes and numerous applications. In addition, thanks to fully electronic
hydraulic systems, digitalized machine controls and AI-supported safety features,
these products significantly reduce the workload on operators and protect
workers in the machines’ working environment. The seven large machines at
Develon’s Steinexpo booth A21 and the demonstration area will showcase the
manufacturer’s innovative capabilities to visitors.
Following its first successful
appearance at the same show three years ago, Develon will once again be
exhibiting at Steinexpo in Nieder-Ofleiden from 2nd-5th September 2026, with a
booth occupying nearly 500 m² of space.
“Our entire sales team will be on
site,” says René Halter, a member of the management board at Develon
Germany, highlighting the high priority the company places on steinexpo. It is
already becoming clear that Develon’s machines and solutions are attracting a
lot of attention:
“Existing customers and many new
prospects have already scheduled appointments with us,” Halter reports.
Steinexpo debut
The DX360LC-9 and the DX400HD-9
are making their steinexpo debut as representatives of the new Series 9 range
of smart crawler excavators, which was first unveiled at bauma 2025. The
optimal combination of high lifting capacity, stability and durability enables
these machines to handle the most demanding applications in mines and quarries
or on construction sites. Both models excel in productivity, safety, ease of
operation and versatility. A key highlight is the integration of the Smart AVM
and E-Stop safety systems.
Thanks to a system of up to six
cameras and AI-powered object detection, Smart AVM provides the driver with a
complete 360-degree view around the machine. With the automatic emergency stop
(E-Stop), Develon offers a unique system that uses radar sensors to monitor a
field of view of up to 330 degrees. If people or objects are within 6 m of the
machine, a visual and audible warning is triggered, and the machine
automatically slows down. If a person comes within 4 m, the system
automatically stops the machine and all movements. The DX360LC-9, with an
operating weight of 37,200 kg, is on display at the booth, while the DX400HD-9,
which weighs 42,160 kg, can be seen in live operation at the demo area in Zone
A, just a few steps away from the Develon booth.
Unique performance
Clean, quiet and designed for
high productivity in urban environments, the Series 7 DX160WE electric wheeled
excavator features an LFP battery that enables all-day operation, while its
efficient electric motor delivers consistent torque and precise control. Thanks
to durable components, reduced maintenance requirements and flexible charging
options, operators benefit from maximum uptime and predictable operating costs.
Develon’s articulated dump
trucks—represented at Steinexpo by the DA45-7 model on the stand—can handle any
terrain with minimal ground impact. They demonstrate their unique performance
especially in wet and slippery conditions. The cabs—the largest in their
class—offer the highest level of comfort for the operator. The exceptional air
conditioning system, the first-class air-suspension seat and the remarkably
quiet interior help drivers stay focused even during long work shifts. At the
demo site, a DA30-7 will show why Develon’s articulated dump trucks are the
ultimate in durability.
The DL420CVT-7 wheel loader will
also be present, with an operating weight of 23,990 kg, a bucket capacity of
4.5 m³, a breakout force of 171 kN and equipped with a 240 kW (326 PS) Stage
V-compliant Scania D9 5-cylinder engine. The CVT (Continuously Variable
Transmission) combines the advantages of a mechanical and a hydrostatic
transmission and ensures greater fuel efficiency.
Another key focus is providing an
outstanding working environment for the operator. Develon’s successful
Transparent Bucket 2.0 solution eliminates blind spots, thereby increasing
operational safety and efficiency on the job site. Using two cameras mounted on
the top and bottom of the machine, the system captures images from the front of
the wheel loader and displays the combined images in real time on the monitor
in the cab using a curved projection method. This greatly enhances safety on
the construction site. In addition, the Develon Smart Load prevents overloading
and the automatic hydraulic differential lock ensures excellent manoeuvrability
even under difficult conditions. Another DL420 will be on display at the booth
of tyre partner, Bohnenkamp.
Optimal Bucket Filling
Develon’s largest wheel loaders
are also part of the lineup at Steinexpo. The DL550-7 and DL580-7 ensure
maximum productivity in any situation. Even with the toughest materials, their
impressive breakout force, high traction and excellent penetration ensure
optimal bucket filling with every work cycle. The powerful hydraulic system
guarantees fast and efficient operation. Of course, both models meet Stage V
emissions standards. Prospective buyers can see for themselves just how
powerful the wheel loaders are at the demonstration area. Whether a DL550-7 or
a DL580-7 will be on display at Steinexpo will not be decided until shortly
before the trade show begins. What is certain, however, is that the model on
display will be equipped with the award-winning Transparent Bucket 2.0 system.
In addition to the machines and
safety solutions, another key feature of the Develon stand is the integrated
digital solution, My Develon. Customers can easily access information about
machine operation and request product consultations or maintenance services via
the website and the mobile app. Thanks in no small part to customer feedback,
My Develon is continually evolving into a communication channel that maximizes
customer satisfaction.
